Welcome to the web site for the Southeastern Arizona Tea Studies.

Tea is one of the most ancient and common beverages in the world, yet only recently has tea been featured in international news for its health benefits.

Known as “The Tea Team,” a group of researchers at The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health is one of the first groups in the world to study the preventative effects of tea. This research has been fundamental in investigating tea’s potential

to prevent skin cancer; lung damage from heavy smoking, coronary heart disease, and also shows promise in preventing other conditions related to oxidative stress and DNA damage.

Please use the Tea Study Quick Links on the upper right of these web pages to navigate through the information and publications.
