2007-2008 Priorities
Among the priorities for 2007-2008 are our efforts to establish significant endowments to support faculty positions that focus on eliminating health disparities, and an endowment that will provide crucial support for student scholarships.

Endowed Student Scholarship
Goal: $3,000,000
Scholarship support is critical for the College to attract excellent students. Your gifts will help students focus on their scholarly pursuits, engage in the communities they serve, and connect to the public health workforce.  Scholarship funds help us maintain our excellent standing and our competitiveness in recruiting the most talented students.

As a young college, it is imperative to build a strong portfolio of scholarship funds.  We intend to recruit top scholars into our educational programs and to further diversify our student body.

We have launched the "Campaign for Student Excellence" at the UA Zuckerman College of Public Health to provide support for our students.  The goal is $3 million.  The annual interest from such an endowment would enable us to provide financial support of $120,000 annually for eight MPH/MS students or four doctoral students.

Scholarship Priorities
1.   Scholarships for graduate students
2.   Scholarship support for upper division undergraduate public health majors
3.   Funds to support student internships
4.   Travel Funds for student recruitment

Endowed Professorships
Goal: $18,000,000
These funds are needed to recruit faculty of high distinction and to retain valuable faculty members so the College can continue responding to Arizona's needs for public health teaching and research.  The positions provide strong academic visibility and awareness, which in turn help attract faculty and students.
