Deadlines

Due dates for applications to the Health Education major are:

Spring Admission  >  1st Friday in January

Summer Admission  >  2nd Friday in May

Graduate ProgramsSOPHAS

Apply online through SOPHAS

Application materials*, including transcripts, personal statement, and letters of recommendation, will be submitted through the online centralized application service for accredited colleges of public health, SOPHAS.  See the SOPHAS Application Checklist for more information.

*GRE scores may be reported directly to SOPHAS for the University of Arizona, just enter GRE Code #4253.

Deadlines for Spring 2010

The MPH, MS, PhD and DrPH programs do not offer Spring admisssion.

Deadlines for Fall 2010

The priority deadline for Fall 2010 enrollment is January 1st, 2010. Students applying to the priority deadline will be given the highest priority in financial aid considerations.  The secondary deadline for Fall 2010 is March 1st, 2010.  All parts of the application (including the GRE and TOEFL) must be completed by the deadline to be considered. Applicants are encouraged to begin the SOPHAS application as soon as possible.

Dual Degree Programs
(MD/MPH,JD/MPH, MPH/MA in Latin American Studies, and MPH/MS in Mexican American Studies)

Applicants must apply to both programs in order to apply to a dual degree program.  Applicants apply to the MPH program online (and choose the appropriate dual degree designation) through SOPHAS.

Certificate Programs

Arizona Clinical Research Training Program (AzCRTP)
Applicants to the Arizona Clinical Research Training Program (AzCRTP) must apply for admissions to the UA Zuckerman College of Public Health and to the UA Graduate College.

Certificate in Public Health
Applicants to the Graduate Certificate in Public Health Program must apply for admission to the UA Zuckerman College of Public Health and to the UA Graduate College.  Applicants for Spring 2010 admission must submit all completed materials no later than October 1, 2009.

Please note: Students in the Gaduate Certificate in Public Health are ineligible to receive financial aid of any kind, and are required to pay the Graduate tuition rates outlined by the UA Bursar's Office (dependent on state of residence.)
