The Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona presents the Partners in Public Health Luncheon on Thursday, March 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Arizona Inn (2200 East Elm Street) in Tucson.

Biotech entrepreneur Peter Allison, president and founder of IDM LabTrack™ Inc. and IDM AgriTrak™ Inc. in Scottsdale, Ariz. is the keynote speaker. Mr. Allison will discuss how public health policy translates into actual health applications and future applications of predictive and preventative health.

In 1998, Allison founded and continues to serve as managing director of Biogenesis Investment Group, LLC, a healthcare investment company providing funding to early stage biotechnology, medical device and diagnostics companies. He is also managing member of IDM Technologies, LLC Fund I and the BioAccelerator Fund I, LLC.

He has more than 30 years of experience in business management, venture capital, and debt and equity placement. His background covers a broad spectrum including real estate investment and development with over 1 million square feet of commercial space including shopping centers, warehouses, apartment buildings and office buildings in the Seattle metropolitan area. He is also active in oil and gas technology and production in Texas with Petexas, Inc. founded in 1993.

A frequent college speaker and lecturer, Mr. Allison has served on multiple boards including the University of Washington School of Public Health, Gonzaga University Board of Regents, and currently serves on the Board of BioAccel and the Arizona Bioindustry Association (AZBio) located in Phoenix, Arizona. He is also a member of the Community Advisory Board of the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health.

Admission is $25 for University of Arizona employees, $30 for Partners in Public Health members, and $50 for non-members. Proceeds support various programs in the Tucson community.
