Thanks to all the students, staff, and faculty who participated in the Comprehensive College Climate Survey (CCCS)! We are pleased to report that the survey is now being analyzed.

In the College of Public Health, we strive to provide a safe, inclusive, equitable environment for all of our students, faculty, and staff, and it is this “Climate” of our College environment that we seek to improve through the CCCS.

The College will host a Climate Survey Results Presentation at a Town Hall for all students, staff, and faculty, on Monday, April 26, 12noon to 1pm, presented by researcher Dr. Kadian McIntosh. Please watch for the CCCS Town Hall link in email. We are grateful to Dr. McIntosh for leading us through this important study of the inclusion and equity climate at the College.

Subsequent to the CCCS report Town Hall, forums will be scheduled with staff and faculty, and also with students, to identify action items and identify leaders to implement those action items. The CCCS report will be discussed at the annual spring Faculty and Staff Retreat in May. Watch for an email with details.

The purpose of the Comprehensive College Climate Survey study is to explore the college climate and its impact on the experiences of students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Campus climate research aims at understanding the ways that personal and interpersonal experiences and interactions influence how individuals within a given setting perceive and understand their role and purpose in that setting. As such, the goal of this study is to better understand the strengths and areas for growth within the college, and how to utilize those strengths to address challenges.
