Changing the Behavior of Americans to Improve Their Health

The Department of Health Promotion Sciences Presents...

Bruce Bender, PhD
Professor of Psychiatry, University of Colorado School of Medicine
Co-Director of the National Jewish Center for Health Promotion

Many Americans have a tendency to eat too much, exercise too little, use addictive substances to excess, and stop taking their medication. Many groups have attempted to change the health behavior of Americans, with varied success. This presentation will examine strategies for changing health behavior from individual provider-patient interactions to large-scale public health campaigns.

Please RSVP to attend lunch with Dr. Bender following the lecture at 1 p.m. in Drachman Hall, A324. Contact Ashton: anorman@arc.arizona.edu
