Biography

Amy Glicken obtained a BA in Sociology from Grinnell College in 2000 and an MPH in Community Health Practice from the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health in 2006.  She previously held positions at the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Southern Arizona Legal Aid, Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa, Planned Parenthood Arizona, and the University of Arizona Center of Excellence in Women’s Health. 

Amy serves as the Director of Admissions in the Office of Student Services and Alumni Affairs at the UA Zuckerman College of Public Health, where she assists prospective graduate students and applicants with finding the right degree program, application questions, and admissions issues.  In addition, she coordinates the College’s recruitment strategies and works with faculty admissions committees to facilitate graduate student admissions processes.  As part of her role, Amy advises the Graduate Student Ambassadors

Amy served on the national SOPHAS Advisory Council from 2011 to 2013 and 2014 to 2016.
