    Hometown:

    Minneapolis, Minnesota

    Prior Degree(s):

    B.S. Public Health – University of Arizona

    Before entering the program:

    As I graduated undergrad in December, I had a few months to gain work experience in Public Health. I worked at a local non-profit in Memphis, TN and then transferred to Utica, Mississippi to work as a healthcare administrator for a small clinic.

    Why did you choose public health?

    From as early as I can remember, I have always been a public health nerd. The ability to do what I love and make a career out of it truly makes me the luckiest person.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

    As a MEZCOPH undergraduate alumnae, I felt such a strong connection with the community that exists at the College of Public Health. Plus, Tucson is awesome, who wouldn’t want to live here!

    Public health interests:

    The economic analysis of healthcare policy!

    Internship:

    Stock albuterol implementation and policy analysis for the Asthma and Airways Disease Research Center

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

    Hiking and biking, I just love being outside! But when I can get the time, nothing is better than a big plate of food and a Netflix binge.

    Tip for future students:

    Exhale, it will work out, I promise. Say yes often and keep your mind open to opportunities that arise.
