Why did you choose public health?

I believe that public health is the best way to make the largest impact on the greatest amount of people.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

Tucson is my home! I had such a great education at MEZCOPH for my MPH and the faculty here are unparalleled. I stayed for the people and the growth I knew I could achieve here.

    Public health interests:

Biostatistics, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Infectious Disease, Public Health Informatics

    Dissertation:

I plan to study the impacts of extreme flooding events on the incidence of foodborne illness.

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

Outside of school I like to sew sustainable clothing, perfect my pizza recipe, and run around with my dogs.

    Tip for future students:

If you are asked if you want to do something, and it's not a full-body "YES!" than it's probably a "No." Seek out opportunities within the college that will help advance your career and seem interesting, you never know what you'll fall in love with!
