    I was completing my BS in Public Health from MEZCOPH!

    Why did you choose public health?

    I believe it's essential to understand all parts of people and communities to find root problems and create health interventions, research, and programs that address the social determinants of health. I love public health and the directions that I can go in to help and empower others.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

    I chose MEZCOPH because I enjoyed my mentors, friends, and support that I had in my undergrad. I feel like I have made so many amazing connections that will span past MEZCOPH.

    Public health interests:

    Disease Prevention, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Global Health, Health Disparities, Health of Women, Children and Families, Health Promotion, Infectious Disease, Planning and Evaluation, Public Health and Emergency Preparedness

    Internship:

    MPH Intern at Cochise County Health and Social Services - Aiding Epidemiology team to conduct Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER) and COVID-19

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

    Video games, going to the gym, watching cooking or reality shows, gardening/plants, keyboards

    Tip for future students:

    Make sure to reach out to anyone if you have questions! You don't want to regret/miss something because you were too afraid to ask. Even if the person you ask doesn't have the answer, they will help you find it!
