Before entering the MPH program I worked for three years at a local public health department in Southern Utah as an Emergency Preparedness Specialist and Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator. Why did you choose public health?
I chose public health because I am passionate about helping people and improving the health situation of communities. As a public health professional I am confident that I can make a difference through protecting the community, preventing disease, and promoting public health. Why did you choose MEZCOPH?
I chose MEZCOPH for a number of reasons, but what stuck out to me was the ability to specialize in a public health discipline by selecting a concentration and being able to gain practical an accredited public health program was very inviting.Public health interests:

I would encourage future students to get to know and work closely with fellow students and faculty. The ability to build relationships and work with others is a skill that will help them achieve academic success and career development. This is something that will be used daily and is a skill that will never become obsolete.
