    Before entering the program:

    I worked as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. After moving to Denver, I worked as a math educator for middle-school through adult students. I also became a certified yoga instructor while in Denver.

    Why did you choose public health?

    I choose public health because it blends my love of research and health. I want to be able to use my skills as a researcher and educator to impact my community in positive ways.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

    When I was researching programs, I realized that different universities housed Biostatistics in vastly different academic departments. I realized that being in a school of public health would give me a better connection to the research and education aspects of the program. On an admitted student visit, I was amazed at the connectivity of the school, the community of MEZCOPH, and the opportunities for research and internships.

    Public health interests:

    I want to be able to work within the public health sector to improve health care through detailed research within diseases, epidemiology, and connections to human health. While my main goal is to work on the cutting edge of new statistical processes and to help discover new ways to make the world healthier, I also feel passionately about passing on that information effectively. I would like to do this by making research more approachable and pertinent to the general public.

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

    I love hiking, running, and yoga. When I'm not expending energy, I'm intaking energy in the form of experimental cooking and exploration of the local food scene.
