    Undergraduate Medical Laboratory Sciences, Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Sciences and Industrial Hygiene - Eastern Kentucky University

    Before entering the program:

    Worked in a clinical laboratory setting in Richmond, Kentucky, while at the same time pursuing my MPH.

    Why did you choose public health?

    Interested in making a difference in rural areas, mainly in developing world to provide safe and clean drinking water, in order to reduce the incidence, morbidity, and mortality of gastrointestinal illnesses caused by unsafe drinking water and poor sanitation.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

    MEZCOPH provided me with ideal setting to continue with my education and be an expert in the field to be able to make a difference in people’s lives.

    Public health interests:

    Rural health, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, developing world cultural and policy, water quality, and microbiology.

    Dissertation:

    Still developing my proposal that will be my dissertation.

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

    Running and biking at Rillito River path, hiking, relaxing!!

    Tip for future students:

    MEZCOPH is one of the best colleges, where you can make impact to the lives of many people regardless of the setting. MEZCOPH will be able to prepare you to take on duties within local community, different part of the country, or international.
