    Before entering the program:

    I was finishing my undergraduate degree in public health and working for a non-profit organization in Tucson.

    Why did you choose public health?

    I chose public health because communities are our patients and we seek to keep them healthy. Public health professionals gain the trust of community members to guide them towards a healthier lifestyle.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

    I chose to stay at MEZCOPH because I felt a sense of community within the college and within Tucson. I found the support that would guide me to complete my degree.

    Public health interests:

    Biostatistics, Environmental Health, Health Disparities, Hispanic Health, Infectious Disease, Occupational Health, Rural Health

    Thesis:

    My thesis entitles developing a simulation model for infection risk of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) for patients during an emergency medical service vehicle call.

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

    Watch movies, series and attend city events.

    Tip for future students:

    Just keep swimming, you will find yourself within public health.
