Potoff Private Philanthropy supports high school students through the Pima JTED Career & Technical Education programs, and will now provide scholarship support for graduates from the Pima JTED programs who want to earn their BS in Public Health or a BA in Wellness & Health Promotion Practice at the University of Arizona’s Zuckerman College of Public Health, creating a vital pipeline to train tomorrow’s healthcare workforce for Southern Arizona.
Guided by Executive Director Bill Westcott, Potoff Private Philanthropy supports projects in the areas of career and technical education, veterans programs, and animal health and welfare. Potoff’s initial $100,000 gift to the College of Public Health makes Potoff the top level “Zuckerman Legacy” sponsor for the college’s 25th Anniversary Gala, and the additional gifts of $100,000 a year for the following four years will support Pima JTED graduates who want to pursue a public health degree at the University of Arizona. The college especially hopes to engage students who graduate from Pima JTED’s Community Health and Wellness program.
