Newly elected leadership for the college’s Staff Advisory Council
In December 2025, staff in the college elected three new Chairs to lead the Staff Advisory Council, and they will guide the Council’s advocacy efforts for staff and work to build a more connected and inclusive staff culture in the college.
Staff in the Zuckerman College of Public Health recently elected three new Chairs to lead the Staff Advisory Council (SAC). Congratulations to Kris Slaney who will serve as the new SAC Chair, and to Katie Lupo and Matt Peters who will serve as co-Chairs.
The SAC advocates for staff with college leadership, works to recognize staff accomplishments and contributions, and coordinates collaboratively to build a stronger, more connected, more inclusive staff culture in the college. The SAC invites all staff to participate and share their perspectives and requests.
The college is grateful to the previous SAC Chairs, Sonia Nieves, Shipherd Reed, and Priscila Ruedas, for their extended service leading the SAC and their persistent support for staff with college leadership.

How to get involved
Our staff in the college looks forward to working with Kris, Katie, and Matt. Once the new SAC Chairs have been oriented, they will schedule regular SAC meetings and look at staff event options. Please watch for news from the SAC and participate!
