Three public health alumni among “40 Under 40 Awards” winners for emerging leaders in Tucson region
We congratulate 3 of our alumni from the Zuckerman College of Public Health – Natalie Elias Calles, Stephanie Marks, and Celina Urquidez – who are honored among the winners of the 2026 “40 Under 40 Awards” that celebrate young leaders in the greater Tucson region.
We are so proud to see three of our Zuckerman College of Public Health alumni among the 2026 “40 Under 40 Awards” winners! The awards recognize emerging leaders under 40 years old in the Tucson region. Our public health graduates honored this year include Natalie Elias Calles, MPH ’19, BS ’14, Stephanie Marks, DNP ’18, MSN ’15, BS ’13, and Celina Urquidez, MPH ’19, BS ’11.
Presented by the Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Snell & Wilmer law firm, the annual 40 Under 40 Awards are known as “Southern Arizona's Most Prestigious Award Honoring the Leaders of Tomorrow.”
40 Under 40 Awards
Natalia Elias Calles, MPH '19, BS '14
Natalia Elias Calles, MPH '19, BS '14. She received her MPH in Health Services Administration from the college in 2019. Natalia is a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), now serves as Director of Clinical Research and Platform Solutions at Iterative Health, and previously worked as the Director of Clinical Research and Faculty at TMC Health.
Stephanie Marks, DNP '18, MSN '15, BS '13
Stephanie Marks, DNP '18, MSN '15, BS '13. She received her BS in public health in 2013. Stephanie now serves as Clinic Director at the Family Care Center in Tucson and as a part-time faculty member in the University of Arizona College of Nursing.
Celina Urquidez, MPH '19, BS '11
Celina Urquidez, MPH '19, BS '11. She received her MPH in Health Promotion from the college in 2019. Celina currently serves as the Senior Coordinator for Education and Training at the Sonoran Center for Excellence in Disabilities in the University of College of Medicine – Tucson.
We celebrate all three of our alumni honorees! We know that the skills, perspectives, and experience they gained while earning their public health degrees has continued to inform and empower their work in health services and research that improves the health and wellbeing of our greater Tucson community. Congratulations!
