In the fall of 2012, I was invited to serve as replacement PI for the pilot project on American Indian resilience that is being conducted as part of the UA/NAU Center of American Indian Resilience Center (CAIR) for which Drs. Teufel-Shone and Sanders serve as PIs. Starting in November, I attended 2 UA team meetings, participated in a one-day directors meeting in Flagstaff, and contributed to the end-of-year report and evaluations. This project is related to my interests in behavioral/emotional health and qualitative work. It also picks up on a long-held interest in working with American Indian communities.
