    B.S. in Public Health

    Hometown:

    Gilbert, AZ

    Majors / Minors:

    B.S. in Public Health

What else are you involved in?

I am a Resident Assistant (RA), member of Public Health Undergraduate Network (PHUN), member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and a Student Assistant in the MEZCOPH Office of Academic Affairs.

Why choose the UA / What’s awesome about the UA:

The UA is full of school spirit, and that is one of the reasons that I love it! I really like how the university pushes its students to get involved in the community; it makes me feel connected to the city of Tucson as a whole outside of the university.

Why did you choose public health?

I chose public health because it is centered around prevention. I also like that it involves critical thinking to solve problems. It's a very versatile major that leads to many different career paths.

    What are your career goals:

I want to go into health administration, but haven't decided what setting yet.

Fun Fact about you (hobbies, trivia, etc.):

I love to travel and take pictures (either of the sights or my food). I really like going to concerts and listening to different bands. I also really love sports, no matter what sport it is, I just love getting hyped about a sports team whether I'm watching it on tv or in person.

One piece of advice for incoming students (transfer and freshmen):

Don't be afraid to try new things and get out of your comfort zone. Explore Tucson, try that new food, take that bizarre class, because at the end of the day, you'll be happy that you tried and won't spend your time asking yourself "What if?".
