BS in Public Health and Global Studies with an emphasis in Global Health and DevelopmentWhat else are you involved in?
I am involved in greek life and the public health undergraduate network. Why choose the UA / What’s awesome about the UA:
University of Arizona is a beautiful place to further your academic career. Not only is the campus beautiful, there are so many students that it is inevitable to find a group of friends who have similar interests. Watching students and the community get together for sporting events or events on the UA mall, there is a sense of belonging that you are a part of something bigger. Why did you choose public health?
Public health is an amazing major because it has the faculty and professors that want to see you succeed and the content that you learn can be applied to any field! What are your career goals:
After graduating, I hope to be admitted to an MD/MPH program and go into a trauma program. After working as a doctor, I want to work in the public health field in infectious diseases and eventually make my way back to a university to teach!Fun Fact about you (hobbies, trivia, etc.):
Some fun facts about me are that I love yoga and hiking. I also love exploring new cities and trying new foods! One piece of advice for incoming students (transfer and freshmen):
A piece of advice for incoming students would be to be positive! No matter what happens, whether it's failing a test or a fight with a friend, just stay positive because everything will work out in the end. That one test doesn't affect the rest of your life and there are always more tests to take after that. A fight with a friend doesn't mean it will last forever. Staying positive in situations that are not ideal is the best way to keep going!
