Biography
Paul Akmajian, MFA, is the Manager of Marketing & Outreach for the Arizona Center for Rural Health AzCRH). His duties include managing the AzCRH web site (https://crh.arizona.edu), and preparing communication tools in print and electronic media to disseminate the Center’s efforts to an internal and external audience. Projects include the AzCRH Annual Report, brochures, newsletters, conference materials, maps. These tools provide support for Center initiatives and grant-funded activities, such as the Hospital Flexibility Program, Navigator Consortium, Opioid Prescribing Project, the AZ State Office for Rural Health, and the Western Region Public Health Training Center.
Paul graduated from the University of Arizona in 1976 and received a Masters of Fine Art degree from the University of New Mexico in 1982. Previous to working at UA, he served as Marketing & Outreach Officer at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, providing multimedia (graphic design/creative services) capacity to the Center for Community Partnerships, Department of Family & Community Medicine, Office for Community Health, and Office of Communication & Marketing, from 1990 to 2014.
