Professional Success Week

Our Professional Success Week, organized by MEZCOPH Student Services, offers different workshops and panels each day that will prepare students to launch themselves as public health professionals and build successful careers. The week is capped by the annual Public Health Poster Forum where students at all levels present their research and projects.

  • Monday, March 28: Pima County Health Department Presentation & Open Positions
    • Hear from professionals who work in Arizona’s county health departments, including Pima County Health Department, about career opportunities. County representatives will provide application and interview guidance, and take questions.
  • Tuesday, March 29: Interview Workshop
    • This presentation will identify key interview preparation tips as well as discuss how to articulate skills employers cite as most important in today’s job market using the STAR method.
  • Wednesday, March 30: Alumni Career Panel
    • Hear from MEZCOPH alumni about their career journeys, how they found their first job after graduation, and the steps they followed to reach the public health role they fill today.
  • Thursday, March 31: Resume Writing Presentation
    • This presentation will introduce resources to assist students in writing a professional resume. Activities will encourage participants to reflect upon and articulate professional and academic experiences.
  • Friday, April 1: Public Health Poster Forum
