Bethany Shaheen is a former classroom teacher. She taught math and science at San Miguel High School in South Tucson for 7 years. Most recently, she taught Anatomy and Physiology to 12th graders. Bethany transitioned into her position with MEZCOPH in 2023 in order to support faculty and staff with their research endeavors. She helps coordinate grant submissions, communicate research opportunities, publicize research activity, and analyze research-related data. When not working, Bethany loves to play soccer, cycle, throw pottery, hike, play piano and ukulele, and work on houses (her own or with Habitat Tucson). She loves learning new things, and is always eager to try a new hobby!
