The Arizona Household Virus Study (AZ-HVS) will now accept participants who test positive for COVID-19 or influenza from a home test, a change in protocol that makes many more people eligible for participation. This important study, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), will enable researchers from University of Arizona Health Sciences to better understand viral transmission in households, data that will provide insights to help keep all families and households safe and healthy.

If you've tested positive for COVID-19 or influenza in the past 6 days by a home or lab test, you may be eligible for the Arizona Household Virus Study, and you could help! Learn more about the AZ-HVS at https://hvs.arizona.edu/, and sign up online here.

University of Arizona researchers working on the AZ-HVS are part of the national CDC-funded Respiratory Virus Transmission Network, a multi-site study focused on the transmission of COVID-19 and influenza within households. This study compensates households for their participation. Consider taking part in this opportunity to advance the science of respiratory transmission.
