Senior Lecturer
Dr. Oguegbu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Health Practice, Policy & Translational Research. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Health, with a focus on Community Health Education and Promotion. Dr. Oguegbu earned an MPH from Walden University and M.S. in School Health Education from Southern Connecticut State University. She also has an M.Sc. in Human Nutrition. Dr. Oguegbu is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), a contributing member of the Online Learning Consortium (OLC). She was an assistant professor of public health at Liberty University prior to her appointment at University of Arizona. Dr. Oguegbu’s online undergraduate and graduate courses encompass public health, nutrition, program planning, wellness, and community health education. She developed and teaches four General Education Courses for MEZCOPH. Dr. Oguegbu teaches about 1,300 students and supervises 12 Teaching Assistants annually. She is actively involved in reviewing SOPHAS applications for the Department of Public Health Practice, Policy, and Translational Research.
