Dr. Richard Carmona to Speak at Partners in Public Health Luncheon, May 5th

Dr. Richard H. Carmona, 17th Surgeon General of the United States and Distinguished Professor of Public Health at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, is this year’s guest speaker at the Partners in Public Health Luncheon on Tuesday, May 5, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Arizona Inn, Tucson.

Dr. Carmona will present A Surgeon General’s Perspective on Global Public Health Threats and Exceptional Opportunities. He will discuss current global health challenges and the universal need for a diverse, well trained and committed cadre of public health practitioners, “Like those we have the privilege to educate, train and support at the UA Zuckerman College of Public Health.”

Members of the Partners in Public Health organization are people who support education and research at the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health to enhance and improve the health and wellbeing of Arizonans.
