College Welcomes Two New Members of Community Advisory Board

The Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health is pleased to welcome two new members to the Community Advisory Board (CAB) for the college! Kate Breck Calhoun and Christine Bracamonte Wiggs both bring impressive experience and expertise to the CAB, and all of us in the college look forward to working with them to grow the college’s public health mission.

Welcome Kate and Christine!


Kate Breck Calhoun brings outstanding leadership and teamwork skills to her new role as a CAB member. As the Sales and Marketing Director for the Tucson Convention Center, Kate knows how to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. She also brings extensive experience as a board member for health providers such as El Rio and Carondelet, along with a personal passion for health, wellness and fitness. All these qualities combine to make her an important new voice on the Board.

Christine Bracamonte Wiggs, PhD ‘16, MS ’10, MPH ‘02, a multiple alumna of the University of Arizona, brings more than two decades of experience in health care and public health in Arizona to her role as a board member.  Dr. Wiggs leads corporate social responsibility, philanthropic investment, and public health initiatives for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) and the BCBSAZ Foundation for Community & Health Advancement. Her passion for public health, leadership experience, and deep networks will provide invaluable guidance for the CAB!

All of the CAB’s current board members are excited to work collaboratively with Kate and Christine to support the college and its mission to educate the next generation of public health leaders, advance public health research, and improve the health and wellness of our communities here in Arizona and around the world.
