Why choose public health/What’s awesome about Public Health?

I chose public health because of how versatile the industry is and how I can flexibly apply all of my interests. I have interests in federal policy-making, epidemiology, healthcare accessibility, and oral health, all of which can be incorporated with public health. I also love how supportive MEZCOPH is! The advisors, the professors, and my peers are so kind and all want the best interest in you.

Why choose public health/What’s awesome about Public Health?

I believe that Public Health is a great career path because it is so prevalent. Public health is important because it has so many ties into different fields. To name a few, public health can be incorporated in medicine, education, policy, etc. Public health truly focuses on prevention in order to make differences in communities.

I think that University of Arizona is an amazing school! The environment is so friendly and open. The people truly make it worth your while. University of Arizona has strong ties to the Tucson community, and it gives such a close knit feel.

Public health allows me to learn more about health and healthcare than I could with any other program. While still heading towards medical school, I get to learn about healthcare disparities, healthcare systems, and health at a population level.

The University of Arizona is very welcoming, including both faculty and students. There are endless opportunities, clubs, and seminars to help you progress toward the future you deserve.

There are a variety of opportunities and experiences that come with being involved in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and every student gets to forge their own path towards helping society. Now more than ever our major has been at the forefront of history and its time that you come along with us!

I chose Public Health because I want to change the course of history for the better. Working in Public Health allows you to not only save lives within your generation but for generations to come.

I chose UA because of the university's incredible community. The support services and involvement opportunities that the UA offers have made me feel at home at this large university. When I graduate, I know I will have a community of Wildcats cheering me on as I embark into the real world.

I chose public health because of my interest in making a difference in my local community. Public health is a flexible major because I can pursue a career in topics that interest me such as health policy, health education, environmental health, and epidemiology.

Not only does UA have an excellent public health program, there are so many passionate like-minded people I surround myself with everyday. The University of Arizona has a beautiful campus and I enjoy going to class in-person everyday!

I chose public health due to my interest in holistic health sciences, as well as the array of public health professions there are.

I love the UA campus, it makes me feel at home. There are so many great resources and faculty that are helpful, mostly as a first generation college student.

Why choose public health/What’s awesome about Public Health?

I personally chose public health because I have a passion for social justice, and public health allows me to apply that passion to the health sphere, focusing on eliminating disparities and providing people with the resources they need to have equal opportunity to be healthy. There's something in public health for everyone and it's part of what I love so much about this major!

One of the best parts of being a Wildcat is the community. UA does an incredible job of creating an environment that fosters connection, and it has been so wonderful to find a network of students, professors, advisors, and other staff that inspire me and support me through my journey as an undergraduate.
