One Health Undergraduate Certificate
The Undergraduate Certificate in One Health will provide the current and future public health workforce professional additional knowledge and skills regarding the protection of the public’s health by being able to create better surveillance on the interaction between human health, animal health and the environment. Students will be able to complete the 12 unit program in one year. The public health workforce will upgrade their knowledge and skills regarding the importance of epidemiology, the environment, outbreaks and disease prevention and surveillance as in relation to protecting the public’s health.

Prerequisites
- 2.0 UA GPA
- Note: UA GPA requirement will be waived for students who don’t have an established UA GPA.
Admissions Information
Open to degree-seeking and non-degree seeking students from Main and AZ Online campuses.
Advising
Main campus students (In Person): Find your advisor as determined by your last name, same as COPH degree advising.
Arizona Online:

Students are required to complete 6 units of elective with only 3 units allowed as lower division:

- CPH 230 - Public Health, Climate Change & Resilient Food Systems
- ACBS 317 - Emerging Infectious Disease: An Introduction to One Health
- EHS 426 - Topics in Environmental Justice
- CPH 402 - Climate and Health
- HPS 459 - Management of Global Public Health Emergencies
- EPID 479 - Infectious Disease Epidemiology
- EHS 439A* – Outbreaks and Environmental Microbiology: Then to Now
Relevant Advising Policies
- Minimum GPA for required coursework: 2.0
- Double dipping: No more than 50% of the units of credit used to complete the certificate can also be used for a current degree requirement (i.e., major, minor, or General Education), second certificate, or previously awarded degree program.
