Alexa is a board-certified genetic counselor at Banner Health, specializing in medical genetics in a general adult clinic. Alexa joined the leadership team of the UAGCGP in 2023 as the Assistant Director of Fieldwork. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and received her BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Arizona, and her MS in Genetic Counseling from Long Island University. She enjoys mentoring students inside and outside of the clinic, as she serves as a clinical supervisor as well as an instructor for a second-year course.
