UA-Phoenix to Host Free Citizen Application Assistance Event

Citizenship Now! and the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health will host a free citizenship application event on Dec.10 at the Virginia Piper Auditorium on the UA-Phoenix campus.

The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health - Phoenix has partnered with Citizenship Now! to offer free legal help to Phoenix metro area residents applying for U.S. citizenship. The event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UA College of Medicine in the Virginia Piper Auditorium, 550 E. Van Buren Street, Phoenix, AZ  85004. Appointments are available by calling (602) 827-2640.

The City University of New York (CUNY) Citizenship Now! is the largest university-based legal assistance program in the nation, providing free, high quality, and confidential immigration law services since 1997. The program attorneys and paralegals assist more than 10,000 individuals each year at its six centers and more than 2,100 at community based events. 

“This is a great service offered by our collaborative initiative between City University of New York and the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. We hope all who qualify take full advantage of our services,” said Dr. Cecilia Rosales, associate dean and professor of the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health - Phoenix.
