Why choose the UA / What’s awesome about the UA:
I chose the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health because going into college, I knew I wanted to be apart of a program where I could regularly connect with my classmates and feel genuinely supported by my professors. Although the college is widely recognized as one of the best, it still feels like a close-knit community where I have built long-lasting connections with my peers. I am inspired by the experience and expertise of the faculty, which makes me feel very fortunate to receive such a meaningful education.
Why did you choose public health?
I choose public health because I am committed to giving back to communities the same way I have felt supported in mine. I want to help ensure that people have access to the support and resources they need to overcome challenges and disparities. I am particularly interested in health administration, communication, and policy, so I can help create systems that better support individuals and allow communities to thrive in the long run.
Fun Fact about you (hobbies, trivia, etc.):
Being outdoors, trying new foods and coffee spots, baking sweet treats, writing, and spending time with friends and family!
One piece of advice for incoming students (transfer and freshmen):
Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and find comfort in the discomfort. Some of the most meaningful opportunities and experiences come from taking a chance on something new, and you never know what doors may open for you!
