Stephanie Bowers

Dr. Stephanie Bowers, PT, DPT, is an assistant professor of practice in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Arizona. She is a board-certified pediatric clinic specialist, with experience in early intervention, outpatient and school-based pediatric practice. Bowers holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Health Science degree with a major in physiology from the University of Arizona. She completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) postdoctoral fellowship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Bowers’ professional interests include the school-based PT-special education teacher relationship and inclusive recreation opportunities for children with disabilities. Bowers has presented at the American Physical Therapy Association Pediatric Section Annual Conference as well as the Arizona Department of Education's IDEA conference. When not teaching or researching, she enjoys hiking and traveling with her family.
