Take a week long journey over spring break and gain a firsthand understanding of maternal-child healthcare through an immersive program in Tucson, Arizona, and Mexico City! Compare healthcare systems in the United States and Mexico while engaging with healthcare educators, providers, and students who are working to improve outcomes for mothers, infants, and families. Visit hospitals, clinics, and birth centers, participate in childbirth education events, and practice maternal-child health skills through experiences at leading healthcare training facilities. Along the way, develop language abilities, cultural awareness, and global healthcare perspectives as you explore both urban and rural communities, examine best practices across borders, and learn how culturally responsive care can improve health outcomes for diverse populations.
