Meghan B. Skiba, PhD, MS, MPH, RDN’s research is dedicated to advancing cancer prevention and control through evidence-based, multi-level strategies that integrate nutritional science, behavioral health, and community-engaged approaches. With a central emphasis on modifiable health behaviors, Dr. Skiba’s research seeks to translate these findings into data-driven, scalable interventions that reduce cancer burden and improve health outcomes for our communities. As the Associate Director of the Skin Cancer Institute, she engages with our community to bridge science into action to promote population health. Her research has been funded by the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society. She has extensive experience delivering remotely administered lifestyle interventions which integrate text messages, health coaching, wearable sensors, community-engaged research, and advanced data analytics. She mentors students on how to integrate these strategies to address complex health problems in diverse populations through collaboration with local and state organizations.
