Why did you choose public health?
I pursued public health because of my passion for advocacy and my desire to conduct research. I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of communities, addressing their unique challenges and strengths, and develope interventions that promote long-term, sustainable change. By pursuing public health I hope to create solutions that not only improve health outcomes but also empower individuals whose voices are often unheard.
Why did you choose MEZCOPH?
I chose MEZCOPH because of the strong sense of community among both students and faculty. As an undergraduate and now a graduate student, this community has played a crucial role in my personal growth and provided me with unexpected opportunities. The openness to collaboration and the emphasis on building lasting relationships extend beyond the classroom, connecting students not only to the academic environment within the college but also to the broader community beyond academia,

My public health interests include chronic disease prevention, border health, mental health, and advancing health equity.
Interests/hobbies outside of school:
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, baking, exploring new restaurants and cafes, and spending time with family and friends.
