Global Health & Development Graduate Certificate for PharmD Students
Expand Your Global Health Impact
The University of Arizona's Graduate Certificate in Global Health & Development (GHD) provides PharmD students with the opportunity to gain specialized knowledge and skills in global health, program development, health equity, and population health.
Through a collaboration between the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy and the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, eligible PharmD students can pursue the GHD Graduate Certificate while completing their pharmacy education.
Who Is Eligible?
PharmD students become eligible to apply for the Global Health & Development Graduate Certificate once they have completed 120 total credit units of undergraduate and PharmD coursework.
Applicants must also meet:
- University of Arizona Graduate College admission requirements
- College of Public Health certificate admission requirements
- Published certificate application deadlines

How to Apply
Once you have reached the 120-credit threshold, you may apply for admission to the Global Health & Development Graduate Certificate through the University of Arizona Graduate College application process.

Submit a Graduate College application for the Global Health & Development Graduate Certificate.

Submit all required admission materials by the applicable deadline.

Applications received after the deadline may be considered on a space-available basis.

Tuition and Fees
After admission to the certificate program:
- Standard graduate tuition is charged for each graduate credit enrolled.
- Tuition varies based on residency classification and start year.
- College of Public Health program fees of $75 per credit unit apply.

Certificate Coursework Time Limit
Per Graduate College policy, coursework used toward the certificate must be completed within four years. The four-year period begins with the first course applied to the Certificate Plan of Study.
