Drachman Hall Lactation Room Officially Opens

[field_image_for_story_view]

This week the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health celebrated the opening of a Lactation room located in Drachman Hall, Room A107. Cheree Meeks, a representative from the UA Commission on the Status of Women, joined Dean Iman Hakim, faculty, students, staff and a few adorable kids who stole the show, for the ribbon cutting ceremony on February 19.

The room is available to all UAHS employees, students and staff. Access to the room is by passcode. Contact Ryley Tegler (ryleytegler@email.arizona.edu) in the Office of Student Services to get the access code.

The new Lactation room was made possible by a $1,500 grant from the Commission on the Status of Women. A special thanks to Ryley and Abby Lohr, senior research specialist in the health promotion sciences department, for making the lactation room a reality.
