Katie Careaga PhD, MPH

A proud UA MPH alumna, Katie Careaga has worked in border health and studied her doctorate in sociocultural epidemiology as an international student at El Colegio de Sonora. She has worked in every level of government, including the Pima County Health Department, Arizona Department of Health Services, for the State Department-funded EducationUSA, and for tribal government. She has lived and taught community health in many places in the U.S. and around the globe, but nowhere feels like home like Tucson. She is excited to have the opportunity to contribute to community-building between MEZACOPH and local health departments in her new role as Community Outreach Engagement Liason.
