The list is based on a biennial survey of tens of thousands of leading physicians who were asked whom they would go to for treatment in their own specialty.
The 2011-2012 database includes more than 400 Tucson physicians, of whom about 100 are affiliated with the Arizona Health Sciences Center. Most are on the faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine. García practices at the University of Arizona Medical Center‒University Campus and South Campus.
