Biography
Patrick Wightman, Ph.D., MPP, is a Health Policy researcher and Director of Health Analytics for the Center for Population Science and Discovery. Prior to joining the UA, Dr. Wightman was a Sr. Economic Analyst with the Oregon Health Authority where he worked on projects analyzing the impacts of the Affordable Care Act. He earned his Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Chicago in 2009. Following this, he spent four years at the University of Michigan as the MacArthur Foundation Network on Transition to Adulthood Post-Doctoral Fellow where his research examined, among other things, parental financial support of young adult children and the intergenerational transmission of socioeconomic status.

His areas of interest include program and policy evaluation, and evaluation methodologies.
