B.S. in Public Health
Hometown:Tucson, Arizona
Majors / Minors:B.S. in Public Health
What else are you involved in?I am currently a volunteer at both St. Mary's Hospital and Tucson Medical Center.
Why choose the UA / What’s awesome about the UA:I have lived in Tucson my whole life and the University of Arizona is literally 10 minutes away. The proximity to home and the good price of in-state tuition were my biggest draws!
Why did you choose public health?I love that public health gives you so many options to choose from. I can do nursing, medical school, PA school, or anything else. I'm particularly looking at Pharmacy school and I love that I have a public health background for health promotion and prevention of disease!
What are your career goals:I am going to be a pharmacist!
Fun Fact about you (hobbies, trivia, etc.):I don't know how to swim and have almost drowned twice!
One piece of advice for incoming students (transfer and freshmen):Have fun and be open-minded. Try everything before life gets so busy. Trust me: time flies. Enjoy your time here at the UA and don't be afraid to change your major because I did it at least three times until I found the perfect one for me!
