Dual Degree Programs
Review Process
1

Once your application is complete and verified by SOPHAS, the College of Public Health faculty admissions committee reviews your SOPHAS application.

2

The College of Public Health sends an e-mail and mailed letter notifying you of our admissions recommendation. Admissions recommendations are typically sent two months after the deadline. For example, if you apply for our January 15th deadline, a recommendation will be sent to you by the first week of March.

3

The College of Public Health recommends admission or denial to the UA Graduate College. The UA Graduate College is the entity that officially admits students to the university.

4

Should you be recommended for admission, the Graduate College will verify that you have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and that your GPA is equivalent to a 3.0 or higher. If you have fewer than 12 graduate level credits, your GPA from those credits will be factored into your undergraduate GPA. If you have 12 or more graduate level credits, your GPA will be calculated based only on the graduate level credits.

5

If admitted, the Graduate College will send an e-mail with your official offer of admission to the University of Arizona.

6

If admitted, your admission may be "subject to" submitting official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended. If you are admitted "subject to" submitting official transcripts, they must be submitted by September and should be submitted directly to the UA Graduate College at:
The University of Arizona, Graduate Admissions
Administration 322
PO Box 210066
Tucson, AZ 85721-0066

Or bring your transcripts to the Graduate College front counter of the Administration building, Room 322 when you arrive on campus.

Readmissions

If you have left or been dismissed from a graduate program at the UA College of Public Health and wish to return, you will need to reapply following the readmission policies and procedures.
