L.U.C.H.A.

Learning, Understanding and Cultivating Health Advocacy (LUCHA), is a graduate student organization at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. LUCHA connects students to community service opportunities in order to cultivate awareness for border health and human rights issues in the U.S.-Mexico border region.

Cecilia Rosales, MD, MS, director of Phoenix Programs at the Zuckerman College of Public Health and Arizona Border Health Commision Member, is LUCHA's faculty advisor.

Student members of L.U.C.H.A. volunteering at the 2012 Dia del Campesino (Day of the Farm Worker) in San Luis, AZ. Dia del Campesino is hosted by Campesinos Sin Fronteras.
