Why choose the UA / What’s awesome about the UA:I decided to attend U of A because of not only the amazing foundation created by all professors and faculty as well as peers but also because of the academics and programs provided here at the U, much of which are limitless!
Why did you choose public health?I choose public health because it was the major and career that I believe would help me reach the potential that I much seek for myself. One that involves being there for the process of others respecting and seeking the ultimate health possible for themselves but also as I am on my own journey of health equity, with the public health community on my side I feel as I can make change as a health educator.
What are your career goals:In my career I hope to work for the King County Health Department as a health educator working with policy making and analyzing disease prevention strategies while also taking part and being active in participating in local non-profits.
Fun Fact about you (hobbies, trivia, etc.):Outside of school, I enjoy reading, skiing, traveling, hanging out with my friends, soaking up the sun, hiking, boating and going on walks with my family and friends!
One piece of advice for incoming students (transfer and freshmen):If I could give some advice to an incoming student I guess I would say get involved with things you love. With this you will begin to meet people who also take in interest in the same things as well and only a fun, healthy, and new relationship can be the result.
