Why choose the UA / What’s awesome about the UA:I chose MEZCOPH specifically because I wanted to get away from my hometown and go to college in the warmth of Arizona. I had actually applied to mostly Florida schools and on a whim applied to MEZCOPH, and as cliche as it sounds Arizona just spoke to me more than any of the other schools I was interested in. I had never been to Arizona but everything I read and everyone I talked to seemed to direct me to Arizona and I couldn't be happier here.
Why did you choose public health?I chose Public Health because I have always been deeply interested in health and medicine but knew I was not interested in a Pre-Med provider track. I was also interested in law, sociology, and the environment so when I found out about Public Health as a major I knew it was the right choice for me.
Fun Fact about you (hobbies, trivia, etc.):Joining as many U of A clubs as I possibly can, yoga, crocheting and doing anything with animals!
One piece of advice for incoming students (transfer and freshmen):Do your best to immerse yourself in the campus by joining clubs and being active within your individual college. Get to know your professors, GO TO OFFICE HOURS, and recognize that staying engaged with school is what allows us to have all the fun and growth that comes along with being in college.
