    Before entering the program:

Prior to starting the MPH program, I completed my undergraduate degree and certificate here at UArizona. I also got involved in on-campus jobs.

Why did you choose public health?

Public Health is a broad and interdisciplinary field that includes so many different avenues for professionals to pursue and make their mark in their community. Part of health care involves treating patients directly, but I like to think about the big picture and what can be done to prevent or reduce harm.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

I like MEZCOPH because there are many concentrations that students that focus on, and I love MEZCOPH's campus as the buildings and artwork are wonderful.

    Public health interests:

Health Disparities, Health Promotion, Planning and Evaluation, Disease Prevention, Behavioral Health, Public Health Policy, Global Health, Emergency Preparedness, Rural Health, Disease Management

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

Going to the movies, hiking, swimming, exploring new music, rollerblading, painting, cooking/baking, and spending time with friends.

    Tip for future students:

Graduate school is a new chapter of your life and there will be ups and down, but embrace the change that happens! If you want to try a new way of doing something or living life, try it -- you never know what might come from it!
