    Before entering the program:

    Before entering the MPH program, I worked in COVID case investigation at a health department in Washington.

    Why did you choose public health?

    I chose public health because I want to improve the community I live in by reducing health disparities and promoting wellness.

    Why did you choose MEZCOPH?

    I chose MEZCOPH because of the supportive faculty and the collaborative environment that has helped me learn and grow as a professional and as a person.

    Public health interests:

    Infectious disease, vector-borne disease, border health, climate change

    Interests/hobbies outside of school:

    If I am not in school you can usually find me in a coffee shop with a book or out mountain biking through the Sonoran Desert.

    Tip for future students:

    Talk to your professors, ask questions, make friends, and make sure to keep in touch with your advisor.
