Keynote Speaker: Dr. Utibe R. Essien, MD, MPH

The Urgency of Now: Sustaining Antiracism in Academic Medicine

Dr. Essien is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, a board-certified internist and a Core Investigator in the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion. His work has been published in leading medical journals and he has been interviewed by local and national news media outlets including National Public Radio, the New York Time, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and NBC News.

All UA undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit their public health related research and community engagement projects. Scholarship prizes will be awarded to the top 6 presenters. Abstracts due February 26th, 2021.
