Dr. Roberto Cláudio Rodrigues Bezerra is the Mayor of Fortaleza, Brazil. He was elected President of the Legislative Assembly and served between 2011-2013. Prior to his service in the Legislative Assembly, Dr. Bezerra served as State Representative in 2006 and 2010.
Dr. Cláudio is a medical health officer with the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). As a public health professional, his focus is planning and evaluation of public health policies, including the ‘Family Health Program,’ a Brazilian federal health program. He received his master’s and doctoral degrees in Public Health from the University of Arizona.
